Matt joins Pier Training at an extremely exciting time of our development. He has over 12 years’ experience within the Apprenticeship sector, having worked and led teams nationally.

Matt started his career working within the Financial sector, working his way from the bottom in an international Stockbroking firm. He was soon recognised for his hard work, determination, and unerring drive to deliver spectacular customer service, an ethos that continues to drive him today. He was rapidly promoted to the position of Call Centre Manager responsible for managing multi-site call centres.

He spent a number of years working as a Customer Service and Sales Manager for a company that supplied to all of the DIY industry multi-nationals, managing and developing huge national accounts.

Then the training sector calling came and he has never looked back. This is his passion. His first foray into this exciting and rewarding sector was with a national training provider. Based in Birmingham, where through his tenacity and dedication, he built and managed a team that developed into the best and most productive team within the national operation. So much so that he was soon asked to look after the Midlands region, where he continued to thrive and succeed.

Since then Matt, has remained in the sector, gaining further valuable experience and phenomenal knowledge about all aspects of work-based learning and the Apprenticeship sector.

Matt has worked closely with many small to medium employers and many larger employers, developing and designing national programmes and securing large national contracts.

Central to Matt’s work ethos is quality, and understanding the clients’ training needs, which makes him the perfect addition to our team.
