Leadership and Management in Childcare
Are you an Early Years Area Manager, Nursery Manager, Deputy Manager, Team Leader, Nursery Room Leader and have you been trained or completed a qualification? Learn the theory and skills of becoming an effective leader and demonstrate your commitment to your role by gaining a recognised qualification. Effective leadership in early years consists of knowledge, skills, commitment, creativity, support and empathy to shape teaching and learning.

Leadership and management in this provision is exceptional when leaders:
- ensure that they and practitioners receive focused and highly effective professional
development. - are highly effective and meaningful engagement takes place with staff at all levels

Level 5 Operations/ Departmental Manager
This level 5 apprenticeship training programme develops the leadership and management skills which improve childcare setting productivity. You will learn a range of performance management techniques, how to manage change, strategic management and more.
You will master methods to improve performance that are considered essential aspects of leadership in an early years setting by Ofsted.

Level 3 Team Leader/ Supervisor
This apprenticeship is suitable for those taking their first step into management and leadership such as a team leader, deputy manager or room leader.
You will learn valuable approaches to improve performance and will undertake training to develop your knowledge, skills and behaviours in essential aspects of leadership,
such as managing people, developing relationships, delivering results and managing yourself.

Q How much will the apprenticeship cost the learner?
A) It costs you nothing, just commitment, time and dedication.
Q) How much will it cost the employer?
A) Your employer must make a 5% contribution and the remainder is paid by the
Government. For example, Apprenticeship value is £4000 the employer only pays
£200.
