Guide on Accessing Levy Transfer for Apprenticeship Funding

Please view this initial video guidance:

Next Steps:

  1. Create an Apprenticeship Service Account: If you don’t have one, set it up on the Apprenticeship Service website: https://www.gov.uk/guidance/receive-a-levy-transfer-from-another-business-to-fund-an-apprenticeship
  2. Find Available Transfers: Check the pledge page for available levy transfers. Employers may specify sectors, locations, or apprenticeship levels they want to support.
  3. Apply for a Transfer: Know the apprenticeship standard and number of apprentices. Identify the location and start date for your apprentices. Submit your application through your Apprenticeship Service account.
  4. Await Approval: The transferring employer will review your application. If accepted, the funds will cover 100% of the training and assessment costs up to the funding band maximum.
  5. Use the Funds: Once approved, the funds can only be used for new apprenticeship starts
