Sharon gained vocational experience and training within a range of care facilities, specialising in domiciliary care which then led to working within a large college specialising in distance learning and delivery of the Safe Handling of Medication to the care sector. Sharon spent 10 years developing her knowledge within education and training and gained a range of qualifications from her Assessors award, Internal quality assurance, Co-ordination of learning and development, Advice and Guidance and her teaching qualification. Sharon is also an experienced manager and quality assurer within adult education employability and work-based learning after starting her career in health and social care.

Sharon then joined a national training provider as a Performance Manager and qualified in Leadership and Management. Sharon managed the Health & Social Care apprenticeship teams within regional areas remotely and moved into Quality Manager role to support the business.

Sharon then has spent the last 3 years managing the employability department and the workforce growth strategy across the Tees Valley region, working with unemployed individuals to progress their chosen careers, and placing them with employers.

In her spare time Sharon loves to spend time with her friends, family and 3 grandchildren, walks with her dog Freddy and being creative with craft.
